Our Credentials
AIHA Accredited
SAI is fully accredited by The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), meeting all requirements of the ISO 17025:2005(E) Standards. We offer a full spectrum of analyses through all three AIHA accrediting programs:
- Full EMLAP accreditation for Microbiology; spore traps, direct examination, cultured bacterial, and mold.
- Full ELLAP accreditation for environmental lead (NLLAP and HUD)
- Full IHLAP accreditation for industrial hygiene, including IAQ gravimetric, asbestos and respirable silica by XRD.
NVLAP Accredited
The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), represents the highest standards of the asbestos testing industry. SAI is fully accredited by NVLAP for:
- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
- Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM).
PAACB Certified Analysts
Our Microbiology staff goes beyond the AIHA accreditation by maintaining individual certifications through the Pan American Aerobiology Certification Board (PAACB). The PAACB is the only program that evaluates the ability of each analyst to correctly identify spores, pollen, and artifacts as encountered on “real-world” samples for direct microscopic examination.
